Special Programme on PMVBRY Held at Agartala Town Hall

Agartala:A special programme was organised today at Agartala Town Hall under the initiative of the Agartala Regional Office of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), functioning under the Union Ministry of Labour and Employment, on the occasion of the Pradhan Mantri Vikasit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PMVBRY).

Bikash Debbarma, Minister of Tribal Welfare, Statistics, Handloom & Handicrafts, and Culture Departments, Government of Tripura, attended the event as chief guest, while Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharya was present as guest of honour.

During the programme, speakers elaborated on various aspects of the PMVBRY scheme, emphasising its significant role in boosting employment generation across sectors. Officials highlighted the array of benefits available under the scheme for both employees and employers, aimed at encouraging formal job creation and strengthening the social security net for workers.

EPFO officials, representatives from various organisations and establishments, along with several distinguished guests, attended the event, reflecting wide-ranging interest in the scheme’s implementation.

Speaking on the occasion, the dignitaries underscored the Centre’s commitment to expanding employment opportunities and improving workers’ welfare through such targeted initiatives, urging employers and establishments in the state to actively participate in and benefit from the scheme.
