Agartala: A review meeting was organised today at the Conference Hall of the Fisheries Department located in Gorkha Basti, Agartala. The meeting was attended by Fisheries Minister Sudhanshu Das, along with senior officials and other dignitaries from the department.
During the meeting, the Minister reviewed the ongoing schemes, projects, and overall functioning of the Fisheries Department. Discussions were held on the current status of various fisheries development programmes being implemented across the state, with officials presenting updates on progress made so far.
The Minister is understood to have directed officials to ensure timely and effective implementation of departmental schemes aimed at benefiting fish farmers and boosting fisheries production in Tripura. Issues related to infrastructure, resource allocation, and field-level challenges faced by officials and farmers were also discussed during the session.
Senior officials of the department briefed the Minister on the progress of key initiatives and outlined plans for the upcoming period. The meeting is seen as part of the department’s regular efforts to monitor and streamline the implementation of fisheries-related programmes in the state.
The session concluded with assurances of continued support and coordination between the department and field-level functionaries to achieve targeted outcomes.
