Youth Congress Marks Rahul Gandhi’s Birthday with Tree Plantation Drive

Agartala: The Tripura Pradesh Youth Congress organised a tree plantation programme at Gandhi Ghat today to mark the birthday of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.

Party workers and youth Congress members gathered at the venue and planted saplings as part of the initiative, aimed at promoting environmental awareness alongside the celebration. The programme saw participation from local Youth Congress functionaries, who took part in the plantation drive with enthusiasm.

Speaking on the occasion, party leaders highlighted the importance of tree plantation in combating climate change and preserving the environment for future generations. They also used the occasion to recall Rahul Gandhi’s contributions to public life and his continued advocacy for issues concerning the youth, employment, and social justice.

The choice of Gandhi Ghat as the venue was seen as symbolic, given its historical and civic significance in the city. Organisers said such initiatives would continue to be held periodically to encourage greater environmental consciousness among the youth.
