Agartala: Police at West Police Station have recovered a stolen scooty, a cylinder, and several other items in a recent operation, officials said.
Addressing the media, West PS Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sanjit Sen shared details of the recovery, stating that the items had been reported stolen and were subsequently traced and seized by the police following investigation.
According to the OC, police acted swiftly on the complaint and, through sustained efforts, managed to track down and recover the stolen property. He added that the recovered items, including the two-wheeler and cylinder, would be handed over to their rightful owners after completion of the necessary legal formalities.
OC Sanjit Sen further stated that the police are committed to cracking down on theft-related cases in the area and have intensified vigilance to prevent such incidents. He urged residents to remain alert and promptly report any suspicious activity to the police.
The successful recovery has been welcomed by local residents, who lauded the police for their prompt action. Investigations are reportedly underway to identify and apprehend those responsible for the thefts, with police assuring that further details will be shared as the probe progresses.
