AGARTALA: The 36th Annual General Meeting of the Tripura Gramin Bank Officers Association (TGBOA) got underway at a private hotel here, with State Minister Sushanta Chowdhury inaugurating the two-day event on August 22.
Chowdhury, who holds the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Transport and Tourism portfolios in the Tripura government, attended as chief guest. Shri Srijan Kumar Pal, General Secretary of the All India Regional Rural Bank Officers’ Federation (AIRRBOF), addressed the gathering as keynote speaker, while AIRRBOF President Shri Sagar S. Joshi attended as guest of honour, along with other dignitaries.
The two-day meeting, running through August 23, brought together officers of the association to deliberate on strengthening banking services further. Discussions also covered various challenges faced by officers, the working environment, facilities and benefits, and the association’s future role within the banking sector.
Officials said the AGM served as an important platform for officers to voice concerns and chart the organisation’s path forward, alongside strengthening ties between regional rural banking staff and their federation leadership.
