Ramnagar Sporting Club Hosts Ban Mahotsav, Tree Plantation Drive

RAMNAGAR: Ramnagar Sporting Club organised a Ban Mahotsav (forest festival) and sapling plantation programme here, drawing local dignitaries and residents in a bid to promote environmental awareness in the area.
The event saw the participation of the Mayor along with the local MLA, Deepak Majumder. Club secretary Chandan Chanda and club president Babul Roy were also present on the occasion.
Speaking at the event, the dignitaries underlined the importance of afforestation drives in preserving the local ecology and combating the effects of climate change. Ramnagar Sporting Club, known for its community engagement initiatives, said the plantation drive was aimed at encouraging greater civic participation in environmental conservation. Club officials urged residents to take up similar initiatives at the individual and community level to increase green cover in the region.

The programme concluded with an appeal to residents to nurture the newly planted saplings and continue supporting such green initiatives in the future.
