MLA Sudip Roy Barman Writes to CM, Seeks Single Annual Recruitment Exam to Speed Up Hiring

Agartala: MLA Sudip Roy Barman on Friday wrote to Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, urging reforms in the state government’s existing recruitment policy to introduce a unified “Single Annual Recruitment Examination,” aimed at streamlining and accelerating the hiring process across departments.

In his letter, Roy Barman appealed for a consistent, standardized examination framework to replace the current recruitment structure, arguing that such a reform would reduce delays and bring greater transparency and efficiency to the state’s recruitment process.

He also urged the Chief Minister to ensure that recruitment-related decisions already approved by the state Cabinet are swiftly initiated and completed, rather than remaining stalled in administrative processes.

The MLA’s appeal comes amid persistent concerns among job aspirants in the state over prolonged delays in government recruitment, with many citing years-long gaps between examination announcements and final appointments.

Roy Barman said timely and predictable recruitment cycles would benefit thousands of unemployed youth in Tripura who continue to await government job opportunities, and called on the government to treat the matter with urgency.
