KAILASHAHAR: The annual drawing competition organized by Kailashahar New Canvas Art School, under the supervision of Sur Bharatiya Kala Kendra, was held on Sunday at the PM Shri RKI School premises, drawing enthusiastic participation from students across the region.
Starting at 11 am, the competition saw more than 150 students take part, spanning age groups from nursery level to college, as they showcased their artistic creativity on canvas.
New Canvas Art School principal Sandip Dey said the competition has been organized annually, continuing a tradition upheld this year as well. He added that results would be announced within the next two months.
The event generated considerable enthusiasm among both students and parents, with a large turnout witnessed throughout the day. Organizers noted that such initiatives play a significant role in nurturing the creative talents of children and young adults, providing a platform for them to express themselves artistically outside the classroom.
The competition is expected to remain a regular fixture on Kailashahar’s cultural calendar, with organizers hinting at plans to expand participation in the coming years.
