Higher Education Minister Reviews Infrastructure at MBB University

AGARTALA: A review meeting chaired by state Higher Education Minister Kishore Barman was held at the administrative building of Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) University here, focusing on infrastructure development for college students across Tripura.

During the meeting, Minister Barman discussed the current state of college infrastructure and the challenges faced by students on campuses across the state. He emphasised the need to strengthen coordination and dialogue between teachers, students, and departmental officials on various administrative and academic issues.

The minister reportedly underlined that a stronger working relationship between the three stakeholders would be crucial to identifying gaps in facilities and resolving them in a time-bound manner. He is said to have called for regular follow-up on infrastructure-related complaints raised by students and teaching staff.

Senior officials of the Higher Education Department were present at the meeting, along with Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dipak Majumder.

Sources indicated that further review meetings are likely to be held as the department works towards a comprehensive infrastructure upgrade plan for state-run colleges.
