SHANTIRBAZAR: The mysterious death of a 40-year-old man has caused intense concern in Laugang Barua Para under Shantirbazar in South Tripura district. The deceased has been identified as Tutan Saha.
According to family members, Tutan returned from the market as usual on Sunday night and went to sleep in his room. When his door remained closed past 8 am on Monday, relatives grew suspicious. Entering through another door, they found him lying motionless on the floor.
Locals said Tutan had been married once before, but his wife had passed away. His family stated that he had no disputes with anyone, either within the household or outside.
On being informed, police from Shantirbazar police station reached the spot, recovered the body, and sent it for post-mortem examination. Officials said the exact cause of death — whether suicide or otherwise — would only be established after the post-mortem report and further investigation are complete.
The incident has left the entire Laugang Barua Para locality in shock.
