BISHRAMGANJ: An elderly man, believed to be between 75 and 80 years of age, died after allegedly being run over by a train on Thursday, on the railway line located between Nathung Bazar and the Adibasi Colony area under Bishramganj police station.
According to locals, the man was reportedly struck by the 11 am train. Bishramganj police and Government Railway Police (GRP) personnel rushed to the spot soon after the incident was reported.
As of the latest information, the deceased has not been identified, and efforts are said to be underway to ascertain his identity.
