Tripura Natural Gas Mazdoor Sangh Holds Press Conference; Warns of Stir Over Unresolved Workers’ Demands

AGARTALA: The Tripura Natural Gas Mazdoor Sangh, an affiliate of the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS), hosted a crucial press conference on Monday at its central office located in the Banerjee Para area of the capital. The briefing aimed to highlight the ongoing grievances of the workforce and outline the union’s future course of action.

The conference was spearheaded by key organizational leaders, including Tripura Natural Gas Mazdoor Sangh General Secretary Bijoy Mallik and President Bhaskar Das, alongside other senior executive members.

During the session, the leadership engaged in detailed deliberations regarding the pressing charter of demands raised by the workers. Primary focus was placed on unresolved workplace grievances, safety protocols, operational challenges, and welfare initiatives tailored for natural gas sector employees.

Addressing the media, General Secretary Bijoy Mallik emphasized the union’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding labor rights and ensuring fair industrial practices. The leaders also unveiled a blueprint for upcoming organizational programs aimed at strengthening grassroot mobilization. They warned that the association would initiate democratic demonstrations if their legitimate demands regarding fair compensation and better working conditions continue to face administrative delays.
