AGARTALA: The Tripura Motor Workers’ Union celebrated its 45th Foundation Day on Saturday at the union’s central office in Old Motor Stand, Agartala, with union members and well-wishers gathering to mark the occasion.
The programme was organised to commemorate the union’s founding and its decades-long association with the transport and motor workers’ community across the state. Members reflected on the union’s journey since its inception, highlighting its role in advocating for the rights and welfare of motor workers in Tripura.
Union leaders used the occasion to reaffirm their commitment to addressing the concerns of the transport workforce, including issues related to working conditions, wages, and job security. The foundation day event has traditionally served as a platform for the union to review its activities and set priorities for the year ahead.
