AGARTALA: Maharajganj Bazar outpost police have detained three suspected thieves from a shopping complex in the Lalmatia area, recovering Rs 10,000 out of a total of Rs 56,000 allegedly stolen, police said.
Officer-in-Charge Dipankar Debnath said the three detainees are currently being interrogated as police work to gather further details about the theft.
Investigators are also probing whether others are involved in the case and whether the detained men have links to any organised gang operating in the area.
The investigation remains ongoing, with police verifying the source of the recovered cash alongside questioning the suspects on the extent of their involvement in the incident, officials added.
