Surrendered Militant Groups NLFT and ATTF Call for Statewide Shutdown on June 12; Gatherings Begin Along Key Routes

Agartala: Ahead of the statewide shutdown called by surrendered members of the National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) and the All Tripura Tiger Force (ATTF) on June 12, groups of supporters have reportedly started gathering at several locations along the Assam-Agartala National Highway and nearby railway tracks.

According to reports, gatherings have been observed in areas including Barmura-Hataikotor, Subal Singh, Mandai, and the Bhrigudas locality, raising concerns over possible disruptions to road and rail movement during the shutdown.

Leaders associated with the agitation stated that essential emergency services, including ambulances, fire service vehicles, and police vehicles, will be exempted from the shutdown and allowed to operate without obstruction.

Security forces are closely monitoring the situation, while authorities remain on alert to ensure public safety and maintain law and order. Further details are awaited.
