KANCHANPUR: Residents of Shantipur in Kanchanpur approached the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) on Wednesday, demanding urgent action to curb incidents of theft and robbery in the area, local sources said.
The residents reportedly submitted their grievances to the SDPO, citing a rise in such incidents and alleging that repeated occurrences have created a sense of insecurity among the local population.
According to sources, the delegation urged police to increase patrolling and take stronger measures to prevent further incidents in the area.
The SDPO is understood to have assured residents that appropriate steps would be taken to address their concerns, though specific measures were not immediately available.
