KHOWAI: A wave of anxiety has swept through the Chebri Officetilla area under the Khowai sub-division following the sudden disappearance of a housewife and her minor son. The missing woman has been identified as Champa Sarkar.
According to family sources, the couple had been married for nearly nine years. However, an unusual domestic dispute reportedly took place on the night of May 28. The very next morning, Champa left the house alongside her only child and has remained untraced ever since.
The woman’s husband, Asit Sutradhar, revealed to the press that he had recently noticed suspicious messages and call activities on his wife’s mobile phone. He claimed that because the device was password-protected, he could not access the full details, leading him to suspect that she might have been in communication with an outsider.
Sutradhar has officially filed a missing person’s report at the local police station. Acting swiftly on the complaint, the local police have launched a full-scale investigation and are actively tracking mobile signals to locate the mother and child. While the incident remains the talk of the town, authorities state that the exact motive behind the disappearance will only be clear once the duo is safely rescued.
