Road from Briddhinagar to R.K. Nagar in Dilapidated Condition Due to Soil-Laden Trucks; Residents Demand Immediate Repairs

Agartala: Residents have demanded the immediate repair of the road connecting Briddhinagar to R.K. Nagar via Kalinagar, alleging that the route has deteriorated severely due to the frequent movement of heavy soil-laden trucks.

According to local residents, the continuous operation of trucks carrying excessive loads of earth has caused extensive damage to the road surface, leaving it cracked and badly worn. Despite the worsening condition, no significant repair work has been undertaken for a long time.

The damaged road has become a major inconvenience for daily commuters, with the situation worsening during the monsoon season. Waterlogging, mud, and potholes make travel difficult and pose safety risks to motorists and pedestrians alike.

Speaking to the media, local residents urged the authorities to take immediate steps to repair the road. They also appealed to the administration to ensure that trucks passing through the area adhere to speed limits and avoid carrying overloaded consignments, which they say are contributing to the rapid deterioration of the roadway.

Residents hope that prompt intervention by the concerned departments will help restore the road and ease the hardships faced by the public.
