BILONIA: In a swift operation, South District Police recovered a stolen battery-operated auto-rickshaw within an hour of the complaint being lodged, earning praise for their prompt action.
The vehicle, bearing registration number TR 08 B 2180, was stolen from Kalachhara Bazar on Monday night. Nayan Roy, a resident of Ramkrishna Para in Kalachhara, approached Manubazar Police Station around 8:45 pm the same night to report the theft.
As soon as the complaint was received, Manubazar police launched a search operation. The matter was immediately brought to the attention of South District Superintendent of Police, who swiftly alerted all police stations across the district. Within an hour, the stolen auto-rickshaw was traced and recovered from near the Buddha temple at Gaburchhara, under the jurisdiction of Bilonia Police Station. Personnel from Bilonia Police Station carried out the recovery.
The swift response has been credited to the coordinated efforts between the district’s police stations under the current SP’s leadership, with residents expressing satisfaction over the department’s prompt handling of the case.
