DHARMANAGAR: The 22nd subdivisional conference of the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) concluded successfully here, with around 200 delegates from 14 area committees participating in the proceedings.
The conference began with the flag-hoisting ceremony performed by Dharmanagar Subdivision President Sunny Chanda, followed by floral tributes to martyrs. State President Palash Bhowmik attended as chief guest, while state secretariat members Basudeb Bhattacharya and Santwana Dev, along with state committee members Bijoy Biswas and Rajiv Nath, were present as special guests.
State committee member Abdul Hafiz spoke on DYFI’s organisational structure, while Dharmanagar Subdivision Secretary Arjun Nath presented the organisational report, which was discussed by 14 delegates representing the area committees. Preparatory committee chairman Amitabha Dutta urged the youth to take up responsibility for the next generation and intensify the movement for youth rights.
The conference concluded with the formation of a new 49-member Dharmanagar Subdivision Committee. Jasim Uddin was unanimously elected as the new President, while Arjun Nath was re-elected as Secretary, with workers expressing confidence that the new leadership would strengthen the youth movement in the subdivision.
