AGARTALA: A mega blood donation camp was organised at Pragna Bhavan here on Thursday as part of the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan,’ observed to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday. The camp was organised by the 5 Tripura Battalion NCC in collaboration with the West Tripura District Administration.
BJP National General Secretary and Lok Sabha MP from Tripura West, Biplab Kumar Deb, donated blood at the camp and interacted with other donors. Speaking on the occasion, Deb said BJP workers were celebrating the Prime Minister’s birthday as a festival of service and dedication, describing blood donation as a noble act that plays a crucial role in saving the lives of patients in need. He expressed gratitude to all donors, saying their efforts reflected a sense of responsibility towards society. He added that under Modi’s leadership, India was undergoing a new phase of development and progress.
Chief Minister Prof. Dr Manik Saha also attended the camp. Tripura is observing a month-long ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ from September 17 to October 17 under the theme “Jan Seva Hi Prabhu Seva,” announced by Dr Saha, comprising blood donation drives, health initiatives and other public-service programmes across the state.
