Listening event held at Booth 51 under Agartala Municipal Corporation
Agartala: An event was organised on Sunday at Booth No. 51 of Ward No. 8, under Agartala Municipal Corporation and falling within Agartala Assembly Constituency No. 6, to listen to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 136th Mann Ki Baat broadcast.
Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor and Ramnagar (Assembly Constituency No. 7) MLA Dipak Majumder attended the programme, along with Ward No. 8 Corporator Shampa Sen Sarkar, party workers and supporters.
Speaking to the media after the event, Majumder said the Prime Minister, in his address, highlighted various developmental initiatives across the country alongside recent developments concerning Jammu and Kashmir. He said the message would further inspire citizens toward development, unity and national interest.
On the occasion, 26 beneficiaries from Ward No. 8 were handed over houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), marking a key highlight of the day’s proceedings.
The event formed part of a series of booth-level listening programmes organised across Tripura, as BJP units continue outreach efforts to connect residents with the Prime Minister’s monthly radio address, while also using the occasion to highlight local welfare initiatives.
