Lack of Work Culture at Kailashahar Food Department, Public Left Harassed

Kailashahar: Allegations of severe negligence and lack of work culture have surfaced against the Kailashahar Food Department office, with locals claiming that staff routinely sign the attendance register after 11 AM every Friday before leaving for the day, leaving common people stranded and harassed.

Residents who visit the office for various essential services, including ration card-related work and food supply grievances, said they are frequently forced to return without having their issues addressed, as employees are often unavailable or leave early, particularly on Fridays.

Locals alleged that this irregular attendance pattern has been going on for a considerable period without any check from higher authorities, causing significant inconvenience to the public, many of whom travel long distances to reach the office.

Several visitors expressed frustration, stating that repeated complaints to the department have yielded no improvement in the situation, and that the lack of accountability among staff continues to disrupt essential services meant for the public.

Residents have demanded immediate intervention from senior officials of the Food Department to ensure regular attendance and proper functioning of the office, warning that continued negligence could force them to launch a formal protest if the matter is not addressed soon.
