AGARTALA: Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu inaugurated a workshop on TB awareness on Wednesday, held in line with the goals of the TB-Free India (TB Mukt Bharat) campaign.
On the occasion, the Governor formally launched the ‘TB Mukt Bharat’ app by pressing a remote-control button, marking the digital rollout of the initiative aimed at supporting the campaign against tuberculosis.
The workshop was organized to raise awareness about TB prevention, detection, and treatment, in keeping with the national objective of eliminating tuberculosis. Health officials and other dignitaries were reportedly present at the event.
Speaking on the occasion, the Governor is understood to have underlined the importance of collective efforts and public participation in achieving a TB-free India, though further details of the address were not immediately available.
The launch of the app is expected to aid in awareness generation, tracking, and outreach efforts as part of the ongoing campaign.
