Father-Son Legacy Continues: MLA Nayan Sarkar Gifts High-Tech Ambulance to Bamutia Health Centre

BAMUTIA: In a bid to ensure speedy medical services for local residents, Bamutia MLA Nayan Sarkar on Monday provided a state-of-the-art ambulance to the Bamutia Primary Health Centre, funded through the MLA Area Development Fund at a cost of around Rs 14 lakh. The vehicle comes equipped with advanced features including oxygen support and air-conditioning.

The handover continues a family legacy — five-time Bamutia MLA Haricharan Sarkar had earlier gifted an ambulance to the same health centre during his tenure, and his son, current MLA Nayan Sarkar, has now followed suit with an upgraded, technologically advanced vehicle.

MLA Sarkar, accompanied by his mother, was present at the event along with Mohanpur Sub-Divisional Magistrate Santanu Bikash Das, Bamutia PHC in-charge Dr Subrajit Banik Roy, and local residents.

Addressing the gathering, the MLA said he was ready to provide a hearse to any club or NGO in need — a long-pending demand of the local populace. He further assured that the dilapidated roads leading to the Bamutia Primary Health Centre would be repaired soon, offering relief to residents who have long complained about connectivity to the facility.
