Daring Theft at Bishramganj Shop, Cash and Goods Worth ₹32,000 Looted

BISHRAMGANJ: A shop at Master Para Raja Chowmuhani in Bishramganj under Sipahijala district was burgled in the early hours of Wednesday, with thieves allegedly making off with cash and goods worth nearly ₹32,000, according to the shop owner.

The shop owner, identified as Ajit Debbarma, said he discovered the theft on Wednesday morning when he arrived to open the shop and found the interior in disarray. He subsequently checked CCTV footage installed at the premises.

The footage reportedly shows the thieves cutting through a tin sheet at the rear of the shop to gain entry before breaking open the cash box and fleeing with approximately ₹7,000 in cash, in addition to stealing various goods from the shop. The owner estimated the total value of cash and goods stolen at around ₹32,000.

The incident caused considerable stir among local residents, who have demanded swift police action to arrest those responsible and recover the stolen items.
