AGARTALA: Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Thursday appealed to Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET) aspirants and recruitment claimants to refrain from agitation, asserting that the state government was closely monitoring the matter and eligible candidates would get their due.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a blood donation camp at Pragna Bhavan under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, Dr Saha said his department had already been instructed on TET-related issues. On the second phase of recruitment, he said the government would act as per directives from the Centre.
Citing the state’s financial constraints, the Chief Minister said outsourcing and contractual appointments remained part of the government’s employment framework. He also addressed a pending Supreme Court and High Court matter, saying the Law Department had been asked to furnish complete details before any decision was taken.
Dr Saha further said September 17 was being observed as Seva Diwas, marking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years of public service. Prime Minister Modi, in a post on X, extended birthday greetings to Dr Saha, lauding his efforts to boost Tripura’s development and improve the lives of the state’s youth.
