AGARTALA: Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha attended the 59th Engineers Day 2026 programme organized in the city on Tuesday.
The event was jointly organized by the Public Works Department of the Tripura government and The Institution of Engineers (India), Tripura State Centre, in collaboration with various engineering service associations, engineering institutes — including TTAADC Polytechnic, Khumulwng, and the Gomati and Dhalai district polytechnics — and other professional organizations of the state.
The Chief Minister attended the programme as chief guest and took part in the inaugural rituals of the event.
Alongside the main programme, a blood donation camp was also organized on the occasion.
Engineers Day is observed annually on September 15 to mark the birth anniversary of engineer and statesman Sir M. Visvesvaraya, and is used across the country to recognize the contributions of the engineering community.
