UDAIPUR: Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on Tuesday inaugurated and laid foundation stones for a series of development projects worth approximately Rs 100 crore at a ceremony held at Rajarshi Kalakshetra here.
The event also marked the launch of the second phase of the Chief Minister’s Nirmay Arogya Abhiyan in Gomati district, including distribution of Nirmay Health Cards, launch of the Nirmay Lab Network, a diarrhoea prevention programme, and ORS kit distribution among children.
Among the projects virtually inaugurated were infrastructural upgrades at Udaipur English Medium School and Bhagini Nivedita English Medium School, a synthetic football turf at Ramesh English Medium H.S. School, and the SDM Office Complex. Foundation stones were laid for the expansion of Udaipur Sub-Divisional Hospital with a new G+4 building, widening of Dak Bungalow Road, a new district labour office, and a synthetic turf ground at Kakraban Higher Secondary School, among others.
Ministers Pranajit Singha Roy and Tinku Roy, Zilla Parishad Chairman Debal Debroy, MLAs Abhishek Debroy and Jitendra Majumder, and senior officials attended. TB champions and ASHA workers were also felicitated during the event.
CM Saha said the projects reflect the government’s commitment to extending development benefits to remote areas.
