CM Manik Saha Inaugurates Rs 65.40 Crore Worth of Development Projects in Sepahijala

SEPAHIJALA: Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on Thursday inaugurated a series of development projects across Sepahijala district, beginning with the foundation-laying for a new district hospital at Bishramganj.

The Chief Minister subsequently attended a programme at the Lalsingmura Ayushman Arogya Mandir ground, where he inaugurated round-the-clock health services at the centre. Thereafter, he virtually inaugurated and laid foundation stones for multiple development works across the district, cumulatively worth Rs 65.40 crore, covering various sectors.

The programme was attended by Sepahijala Zilla Parishad Chairperson Supriya Das Dutta, District Magistrate Siddharth Shiva Jaiswal, Additional Superintendent of Police Rajeev Sutradhar, and the district’s six MLAs — Sushanta Deb, Antara Sarkar Deb, Tofazzal Hossain, Subodh Debbarma, Manab Debbarma and Biswajit Kalai — along with other dignitaries.

Speaking at the event, the Chief Minister highlighted the state government’s commitment to strengthening healthcare and infrastructure across the district, while the District Magistrate spoke on the progress of ongoing development initiatives in Sepahijala.

The newly approved projects are expected to significantly boost healthcare access and overall infrastructure in the region once completed.
