New Delhi: Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke has renewed his attack on the central government, alleging that Union Home Minister Amit Shah bears responsibility for the firing of pellet guns and AK-47s on student protesters during the NEET paper-leak agitation.
Dipke argued that since police forces report to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Shah could not have been unaware of the firing incidents, which he said left several students injured and at least one with vision loss. He said he had personally visited injured students in hospitals in Bihar.
Dipke further alleged that the BJP had approached him with offers to join the party, claiming he was told doing so would benefit him and his family. He said he felt ashamed that senior leaders, including the Prime Minister and Home Minister, would issue such overtures to someone young enough to be their grandson.
He demanded accountability against whoever ordered the use of pellet guns, warning of a larger student agitation if action is not taken.
