Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha Inspects Agartala Court Premises Following Fire Incident

Agartala:Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Wednesday visited the Agartala court premises to take stock of the damage caused by a fire that broke out and gutted several shops in the area.

During his visit, the Chief Minister personally inspected the affected shops and interacted with the shopkeepers to understand the extent of the loss suffered by them. He was accompanied by West Tripura District Magistrate Bishal Kumar, West Tripura Superintendent of Police Namit Pathak, along with other senior administrative and police officials.

Speaking to reporters during the inspection, the Chief Minister assured the affected traders that the state government would extend all possible assistance to help them recover from the losses. He directed the district administration to carry out a detailed assessment of the damage at the earliest and submit a report so that appropriate compensation and rehabilitation measures could be initiated without delay.

The Chief Minister also instructed the fire services department to investigate the cause of the fire and asked officials to ensure that adequate fire safety measures are put in place at the court complex to prevent such incidents in the future.

The fire incident had earlier caused panic in the area, with several shops being completely gutted before fire tenders managed to bring the blaze under control.
