AGARTALA: An important meeting was held at the Bharatiya Janata Party’s state office here on Wednesday in the presence of Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, bringing together senior party leaders to deliberate on organisational and political matters concerning the state unit.
The meeting comes at a time when the party has been actively engaged on multiple fronts, including countering Congress-led protests over the NEET paper leak issue and the detention of Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, as well as continuing its organisational consolidation following the recent appointment of Abhishek Debroy as the new Tripura BJP state president.
Party sources indicated that the discussions are likely to have covered strategy for upcoming programmes, coordination between the government and the organisation, and preparations for the party’s activities in the coming days. Senior leaders and office-bearers of the state unit were present alongside the Chief Minister at the meeting.
Such high-level interactions between the government leadership and the party organisation are seen as routine exercises to ensure alignment on policy priorities and political strategy, particularly amid the current politically charged atmosphere in the state and at the national level.
