Airport Police Recover 22 Lost Smartphones from Bihar, Other States

AGARTALA: In a major success, Airport police station has recovered 22 smartphones that had gone missing from its jurisdiction, tracing them to Bihar and several other locations outside Tripura, and handed them over to their rightful owners.

Briefing the media on the operation, Airport police station OC Sushanta Deb said the recoveries were made following a detailed investigation that involved tracking the devices across state lines. He stated that the phones had been reported lost or stolen by residents within the police station’s jurisdiction, and a dedicated team was formed to trace and retrieve them.

The rightful owners, upon recovering their devices, expressed gratitude to the police for their efforts and prompt action in resolving the matter.

OC Sushanta Deb urged citizens to remain vigilant about their mobile devices and to promptly report any loss or theft to the nearest police station, stating that early reporting significantly aids in tracing and recovering lost devices.

The successful operation has been welcomed by residents, who have lauded the Airport police for their efficiency in cracking down on cases involving stolen and missing mobile phones.
