AGARTALA: Ahead of the Tipraland Statehood Demand Day scheduled for August 23, a campaign rally was held on Tuesday at Prem Kumar Para and Wanasa Para under Kalyan Sing Panchayat, sources said.
During the event, a total of 66 voters from 27 families reportedly joined the party after leaving other political affiliations — 38 voters from 18 families in Prem Kumar Para and 28 voters from 9 families in Wanasa Para, according to organizers.
The rally was attended by Gandatuisha Divisional President Charanbasi Tripura, Women’s Wing President Subilata Tripura, Secretary Dacharani Tripura, and Kalyan Sing Area Committee President Charmajay Tripura, along with other women leaders, sources added.
The event forms part of a wider mobilisation effort ahead of the statehood demand programme in Agartala on August 23.
