Agartala: A 30-year-old house at Math Chowmuhani was demolished by a task force of the Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC), following a High Court order and a complaint filed by Chayan Pal, amid a reported land dispute between two brothers.
The demolished structure belonged to Dipak Pal, a retired school teacher and pensioner, and was declared an illegal construction as per the court’s directive.
According to available information, the dispute stemmed from a disagreement over land ownership between the two brothers, which eventually led to legal proceedings. Acting on the High Court’s ruling, the AMC’s demolition squad razed the decades-old house at Math Chowmuhani.
