AGARTALA: The Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) held a press conference at Congress Bhawan here, expressing strong resentment over the party’s failure to file nominations from 14 constituencies in the ongoing ADC elections.
Party leaders alleged that Congress candidates were prevented or unable to submit nomination papers in these seats, raising questions over the fairness of the electoral process. The party is learnt to have demanded appropriate action from the authorities concerned.
Alongside the ADC nomination issue, Congress leaders also raised concerns over a recent incident in Kamalpur described as unfortunate, and a separate matter involving a musician from Manipur.
The party reiterated its commitment to raising these issues through democratic and constitutional means and called upon the administration to ensure a free and fair electoral process across all constituencies.
