Tensions in the Middle East have escalated following reports that Iran is planning a coordinated, multi‑front offensive against Israel, involving Hezbollah, Hamas, the Houthis, and other Iran‑backed militias. According to The Jerusalem Post, intelligence sources suggest Tehran aims to revive its so‑called “Axis of Resistance”, enabling simultaneous attacks from Lebanon, Gaza, Yemen, and Iraq.
The report claims Iran is seeking to replicate the October 7, 2023 Hamas assault, which killed more than 1,200 people in Israel and triggered a regional war. Documents allegedly seized by Israeli forces in Gaza indicate that Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar had envisioned expanding the conflict to include fronts in Lebanon, Syria, and the Sinai Peninsula. However, Iran and Hezbollah were reportedly unaware of the exact timing of the original attack.
Since then, Tehran has intensified efforts to rebuild coordination among its allied groups.
