KUMARGHAT: A mega health camp was organised at Kumarghat Railway SB School on Thursday, October 8, jointly by the SPJS Education Foundation and the 28th Battalion of the Assam Rifles, Kumarghat.
The banner at the venue described the initiative as “Paving the way to success” and listed the 28th Battalion’s sub-division as co-organiser. A senior Assam Rifles officer addressed the gathering, flanked by a fellow officer and a local representative. The camp was formally opened with a lamp-lighting ceremony attended by Assam Rifles personnel and local dignitaries.
Camps of this kind give residents of the Kumarghat area access to medical check-ups and consultations without the cost and travel of reaching a city hospital. The collaboration also reflects the Assam Rifles’ continuing outreach to civilian communities in the region.
