West Police Station Achieves Major Breakthrough; Stolen Gold and 25 Mobiles Recovered

AGARTALA: In a major breakthrough against urban crime, the West Police Station successfully recovered 25 lost mobile phones and a massive cache of stolen gold ornaments worth an estimated ₹35 lakh.

Acting on precise intelligence from secret sources, police teams launched coordinated raids across various pockets of the city. The breakthrough comes in the wake of two major theft incidents reported on April 9 and April 23, which had prompted the registration of separate cases at the West Police Station.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Namit Pathak revealed that a meticulous investigation into the cases led to the arrest of 10 accused individuals involved in the theft and fencing network. Following the prompt crackdown, police managed to track down the stolen jewelry and missing handsets.

In compliance with directives from the local court, a formal handing-over ceremony was organized where the recovered valuables were officially returned to their rightful owners. Expressing their relief, the owners thanked the police department. SP Pathak commended the swift action of the investigative team and reiterated the department’s unwavering commitment to ensuring public safety and curbing property theft in the region.
