AGARTALA: The Rotary Club of Agartala City organised a special felicitation ceremony at the Agartala Press Club on Saturday to mark the completion of 25 years of the club, honouring 25 teachers from different parts of the state for their contribution to education and their role in shaping society.
Members of the Rotary Club, along with teachers who travelled from various corners of the state, attended the event. Speakers said teachers play an invaluable role in taking society forward, imparting not just textbook knowledge but also moral values and humanity to their students. The felicitation, they said, was the club’s way of honouring this contribution to nation-building.
Marking the club’s 25-year journey, the ceremony was held up as a significant gesture of respect and gratitude towards the teaching community. The honoured teachers were presented with mementoes and citations by the club members.
On the occasion, Rotary Club members also reaffirmed their commitment to continuing their work in the fields of education, health and social service in the years ahead.
