BISHALGARH: A jewellery shop here was burgled overnight, with silver items and other goods stolen, police said.
The shop, Dhakeshwari Jewellery, belonging to Goutam Dhar and located near BOC on the Bishalgarh road, was closed on Tuesday night ahead of the weekly holiday. When Dhar returned to the shop on Thursday morning, he found the rear wall broken and silver ornaments and other valuables missing.
Dhar subsequently lodged a complaint at Bishalgarh police station. The exact value of the stolen items has not yet been ascertained.
Police said an investigation into the incident is underway.
