AGARTALA: A colourful rally was organised here on Tuesday to mark the 59th Engineers’ Day, drawing engineers from various departments along with other associated individuals in a spirited show of participation.
The rally commenced from in front of the historic Ujjayanta Palace in the morning and wound its way through several important areas of the city, generating visible enthusiasm among those who took part.
State government minister Kishore Barman attended the event along with other dignitaries. Speaking on the occasion, the dignitaries underlined the pivotal role engineers play in driving technological progress and contributing to the state’s infrastructure and overall development.
The programme served as a platform to acknowledge the contribution of the engineering community to Tripura’s growth story, with speakers emphasising the need for continued innovation and technical excellence in building the state’s future.
Engineers’ Day is observed annually to honour the legacy of engineering achievement and the profession’s role in nation-building. Tuesday’s event in Agartala reflected that spirit, bringing together professionals from different fields under one banner.
