AGARTALA: Bike and scooty riders found without helmets were handed helmets at Battala on Wednesday, as part of a road safety initiative led by the Sadar SDPO in collaboration with Oriental Insurance.
Officials from the Sadar Sub-Divisional Police Office identified riders travelling without helmets in the Battala area and distributed helmets to them on the spot, in a joint effort with Oriental Insurance aimed at promoting road safety and reducing helmet-related traffic violations.
