Agartala : The Students’ Federation of India (SFI) organised a protest march under the initiative of its Tripura State Committee, demanding the arrest and punishment of those responsible for what the organisation described as a barbaric attack on SFI workers at MBB-Ramthakur College and Charilam School.
According to SFI, its workers were attacked at the two institutions, and the organisation has held RSS-BJP-ABVP activists responsible for the incidents. The state committee organised the march to press for strict action against those it named as responsible.
Participants in the march raised slogans demanding a swift police investigation and the arrest of the accused. SFI leaders addressing the gathering said the organisation would continue to protest until action is taken against those involved in the alleged attacks.
The march passed off peacefully, with SFI workers from various units taking part. The organisation reiterated its demand that the state administration ensure the safety of students and take firm measures against politically motivated violence on campuses.
