Agartala : Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha chaired a high-level meeting on Wednesday to discuss ways to swiftly identify and resolve public problems, and ensure government schemes and services reach ordinary citizens more efficiently.
The meeting laid special emphasis on strengthening direct contact between the administration and the public, hearing grievances first-hand, and taking timely corrective action. The Chief Minister said the government’s core objective is to stand by the people and advance development work in line with public expectations, adding that officials must play a more active role so that no citizen is deprived of government benefits.
Participants also discussed expanding facilities across various sectors and maintaining regular public outreach to better understand ground-level issues before framing administrative responses.
Briefing reporters after the meeting, the Chief Minister said the government is functioning with public interest as its top priority, and that initiatives aimed at improving citizens’ quality of life would continue in the future.
He added that the government’s focus remains on practical solutions rather than mere assurances, with an emphasis on delivering services more effectively to the people.
