Devotees Pledge Service to Humanity on Gurudev Shantikali’s 26th Death Anniversary

JIRANIA: A procession was held at Boraka in Jirania subdivision to mark the 26th Tirodhan Dibas (death anniversary) of Gurudev Shri Shri Shantikali, organised by the Shantikali Ashram with due religious dignity.

Gurudev Shantikali, founder of the Shantikali Ashram, was killed by assailants at Boraka on August 27, 2000, while engaged in service to humanity. The ashram, established under his guidance, has since grown into a prominent centre for the propagation of Santan Dharma, education, and social service, with its influence extending across Tripura and beyond the state.

The anniversary remains a solemn occasion for devotees and followers, who observe the day each year in his memory. This year’s programme saw devotees renew their pledge to continue working in the service of humanity, in keeping with Gurudev Shantikali’s teachings.

Among those present at the observance were Kumari Brahmachari Swapan Debbarma and other devotees of the ashram.
