GRPS Seizes 4.155 Kg Ganja at Agartala Railway Station, One Held

Agartala: Personnel of Agartala Government Railway Police Station (GRPS), led by SI Pankaj Biswas, arrested a man with 4.155 kg of suspected ganja at Platform No. 1 of Agartala Railway Station on Friday.

The accused was apprehended near the parking area between the RPF Post and the Pay and Use Toilet on the platform. He has been identified as Nawab Kumar (30), a resident of Belosha village under Begusarai police station in Bihar’s Begusarai district.

A search of his backpack led to the recovery of the banned narcotic substance, estimated to be worth around Rs 1 lakh in the black market. He was arrested on the spot and the seized ganja taken into custody.

A case has been registered against him at Agartala GRPS police station under Section 20(b)(ii)(B)/29 of the NDPS Act, 1985, bearing case number 2026GRP058.
