Charitable Trust Felicitates Meritorious Students at Agartala Event

Agartala : The Umapada Barman and Anjali Barman Charitable Trust organized a financial assistance programme for underprivileged and meritorious students at Muktadhara Hall in Agartala.

The event brought together students who have demonstrated academic excellence despite financial constraints, with the Trust extending monetary support to help them continue their education.

Former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar attended the programme along with other dignitaries. His presence lent significance to the occasion, which organizers said reflects the Trust’s continuing commitment to supporting education among economically disadvantaged sections of society.

The initiative is part of the Trust’s broader effort to ensure that financial hardship does not become a barrier to academic achievement for talented students in the region.

Speakers at the event underlined the importance of community-driven support systems in nurturing young talent, particularly in cases where students from modest backgrounds go on to excel academically but struggle to meet the costs of higher education.

The programme was well attended, with recipients, their families, and members of the public gathering to mark the occasion.
