Agartala: The Tripura government has announced a major recruitment drive spanning multiple departments, along with a housing initiative for residents of Agartala city.
The Public Works Department (PWD) will see the largest intake, with 185 posts of Junior Pump Operator to be filled through the Joint Recruitment Board Tripura (JRBT). In a separate exercise, the Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) will conduct recruitment for 310 posts under TES Grade-V, Categories A and B, also within the PWD.
The Animal Resource Development Department will recruit 57 faculty members for the Veterinary College through direct recruitment, aimed at strengthening academic infrastructure at the institution.
In addition to the recruitment announcements, the government revealed plans to provide plots of land measuring “aarhai ganda” (a local unit of land measurement) to residents of Agartala for house construction.
Together, the announcements point to over 550 government job openings across the PWD and Animal Resource Development Department, alongside a housing support measure for the state capital.
